FAZDOCS SCARS Demonstration Documentation is documentation for a Small Computer Accident Records System (SCARS) Demonstration program. SCARS was developed to support public agencies in Florida in their efforts to analyze traffic accident records and identify high hazard locations. It is an application of the DBASE III+ data base management program. The development of SCARS, and its distribution and support in Florida are sponsored by the state's Bureau of Public Safety Management. SCARS keeps track of about forty pieces of information on each accident. It is concerned with where, and under what conditions the accident happened. It summarizes the information in a series of reports indicating which locations present the greatest hazard to the motorist, what kind of accidents are happening, and what other factors are prevalent. The 11-page document is circa 1980's. SCARS Demonstration program runs on an IBM-PC.
